Both the steak knife and the matching fork are made from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, the smooth blade is hand-forged, ice-hardened and sharpened by hand. The optimally balanced, finely polished handle plates are made from olive wood that's up to 500 years old, which makes it both very hard and weather-resistant, but it's also extremely elegant.
