This premium spirit was created as part of a collaboration between Brennerei Ziegler and the renowned Palatinate winemakers Markus Schneider. It is based on Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes, which are processed using the traditional double distillation process. The pomace brandy is then matured in Schneider's red wine barrels for at least two years. Amber yellow in the glass, Ziegler Sarto develops aromas of fresh grapevine wood and red fruits on the nose as well as hints of wine and nuts. On the palate, it has notes of cacao and liquorice, while the finish is mellow with fresh citrus flavours.
