The grapes (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Lagrein) of this 2019 cuvée come from the Rosengarten massif in the Dolomites and benefit from the considerable temperature differences at those altitudes. The Castel Montegriffo is impressive, with its fine aromas of plum, heart cherry and Darjeeling tea. It also presents a wonderful balance of fresh and juicy structure and perfectly ripe tannins on the palate. Enjoy this red wine on its own at any time, or with beef and game dishes, Tyrolean ham specialities, spicy pasta and medium-strength cheese.
