This classic whisky comes from the Franconian Odenwald region. 70 per cent of the single malts used are matured in bourbon casks and 30 per cent in Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. The St. Kilian Classic has a pale golden glow in the glass. It has a balanced sweetness that is already evident in the nose, with complex notes of ripe apricot, peach and yellow plum. Creamy vanilla, fine aromatic oak and delicate herbal notes round off the aroma. On the palate, oak, white pepper and mint accents piquantly refine the fruity notes, while caramel and praline nuances linger in the finish.
