Two Californian wineries wanted to take their dream of the ideal Pinot Noir and turn it into reality together. They found the perfect conditions for the vines in the Russian River Valley: dense morning fog, gritty soil, a good microclimate and the close proximity of the Pacific Ocean. They mature their wines in new and once-used French oak barrels. The Les Pommiers 2021 captures flavours of wild raspberry, black cherry and plum, as well as floral nuances. There are also mineral and spicy notes, as well as accents of toasted oak. On the palate, the wine features juicy fruit and ripe, harmoniously integrated tannins.
