Albariño is an old grape variety that is increasingly being grown again, particularly in the north west of the Iberian peninsula. La Val, situated in Rias Baixas in Galicia, is one of the region's most esteemed wine-growing estates. The winery's Albariño has an intense straw-yellow hue with bright green highlights. On the nose, it shows aromas of fresh herbs and laurel with fine floral and citrus notes, as well as stone fruits. On the palate, it is fresh and rich, with citrus notes and a long finish.
