And that is exactly what Danish designer Gustav Ehrenreich had in mind when he developed the Hoptimist at the end of the 1960 s: he wanted to make a figure that would remind everyone to remain positive and optimistic. A simple touch is all you need to turn the lamp on and off or control the brightness.
