This elegant whisky has been blended from fine single malts that have been matured for at least five years in sherry and bourbon casks and in barrels made of Japanese Mizunara oak. Hatozaki Small Batch is voluminous on the nose: sweet malt and dried fruit notes meet traces of smoke and oak. Vanilla cream, honey, smoky notes, tropical fruits and spicy accents define the dense, full-bodied texture on the palate. The long, rich finish is full of fruit and spices.
