A multi-layered blend of very old whiskies distilled more than 30 years ago - at a time when malting was still carried out on site. It's matured in selected bourbon, sherry and freshly toasted oak barrels. Strong espresso notes form the prelude, before flavours of sweetish plum pudding with sherry and candied orange peel appear in the nuanced bouquet. Luscious sweetness contrasts with crisp spiciness and a tart mocha note on the palate. The finish surprises with a fresh minty note and a lemony, green aftertaste.
