As purveyor to the house and court of the royal family of Sweden, Gense is known for its special design. This is also demonstrated by the vases in the Dorotea collection designed by Monica Förster. The minimalist and organic shapes are inspired by nature found in the area around the small village of Dorotea, where mountains, valleys and large, open spaces together form soft, flowing shapes. The colours of the vases also have a connection to this region, as they pick up on the hues of the Northern Lights.
