In addition, the biking map route calculation feature makes navigation easier by quickly and reliably showing deviations from the best route. Link the Edge® 1040 with your smartphone and you'll also get notifications for incoming text messages, emails or calls right on the display.
Peak performance
The Edge® 1040 saves numerous physiological measured values and manages distance-specific performance with the Power Guide2 and Stamina Insights features. When paired with compatible sensors (sold separately), you can use the Stamina data during your ride to estimate how much power you have left and plan your route accordingly. You'll get comprehensive information about your current workout and an efficient workout analysis. While you are pedalling, the computer displays data about the maximum rate at which oxygen can be absorbed into the blood (VO² Max) and gives you tips for recovery at the end of your ride, ensuring you always train at the right level of intensity.
