Since the 1950 s, the Sicilian bakery Pasticceria Fiasconaro has been making panettone by hand using traditional techniques; this involves a very long dough-making process, lots of eggs, a generous amount of butter and no artificial leavening agents. The Panettone Nocciole is finished with an almond glaze, aromatic hazelnut paste and the regional dessert wines Marsala and Zibibbo. The elegant packaging with its metal lid makes it the perfect Christmas present.
