The grapes for this zesty, elegant red wine come from a picturesque hilly landscape in Burgenland - they grow on the chalky dolomite soil on the Königsberg. The wine has a bright ruby red colour and the nose is dominated by the aromas of dark fruits. On the palate there are hints of blackberries, elderberries and sweet cherry, as well as a fresh, fine minerality. Further intriguing hints of pepper and dark chocolate develop if the wine is left to mature for longer.
